Biography:
Charles F. Plitt, 83, formerly of Littlestown died Saturday March 9 2013 at his home in Freedom Township. Born Feb. 8, 1930 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Frank C. and Augusta A Schnitzker Plitt.
Charlie was a machinist and ran and owned his own business in Littlestown for 36 years. He was a pilot and enjoyed flying his own plane. He was also an accomplished musician, playing several instruments.
Charles is survived by three sons, Nelson Plitt and wife Gail of Spring Grove, Allen Plitt and wife Flora of East Berlin and Frank Plitt and wife Carla of Glenville. One daughter, Donna Redding and husband Brian of Heidelberg. 10 Grandchildren, 8 great grandsons, 6 great granddaughters, 5 nieces and 1 nephew. He is also survived by a brother, Paul Plitt and wife Betty of Hanover and long time companion Juanita M. Harner of Fairfield and extended family granddaughters, Morgan and Madison.
Funeral Service is Wed Mar 13 at 12 Noon at Littles Funeral Home with Rev. Mark McOmber officiating. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service, 11-12. Entombment is in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover. Contributions have been asked to go to Hanover Organ Club, 1667 Carrolls Track Rd., Ortanna PA. 17353 or Lutheran Home Care and Hospice Inc., 260 W.
