I graduated high school with Kim being introduced to Marlene and going on to graduate LPN school with her in 1984. Marlene took on the role of caring mom and encouraged all of us through our nurses training and quizzed us for tests carpooling in the mornings ❤️ Her kindness through the years never waivered and she was one of the most genuine people I have ever had the pleasure to friend. My thoughts are with all of you ❤️

I worked with Marlene for many years at Gettysburg Hospital but also knew her at First Baptist Church and most recently as my neighbor. She was always happy and fun to be around. We took lots of walks with our little dogs and solved all the world's problems along the way. She will be missed.

I had the pleasure of working with Marlene at Gettysburg Adult Medicine. As a newly minted doctor, fresh out of residency, Marlene welcomed me with open arms. We combined our clinical knowledge to always make the best decisions for our patients and, along with the other amazing staff of GAM - we were always a well oiled team. Marlene would make sure I ate on the rough days, triage patients with the utmost care, and always go above and beyond. I will remember her grace, humor and ready smile. She was, and remains, a role model for me and one of the best nurses I have had the pleasure to work with. Please know that she made an impact, in all the right ways.
