Biography: Marlene F. Reaver, 77, formerly of Gettysburg, died Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at Hanover Hall. She was the wife of Donald Reaver, Sr. who died May 22, 2018.  Born February 28, 1947 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of  the late James A. and Mary M. (Zeberlein) Pinkas.  Marlene attended St. Joseph High School in Emmitsburg. She completed the Hanover Practical Nursing Program in 1984.  She was a 1992 graduate of Harbor Hospital School of Registered Nursing in Baltimore. Marlene was employed with Gettysburg Hospital in the Medical Surgical Unit from 1987-1999.  She then worked at Gettysburg Adult Medicine retiring in 2009.

Surviving are her three daughters, Kim Wantz & Doug of Littlestown; Chris Swartz & Larry of Arendtsville and Karen Harner of Gettysburg;  her son, Donald Reaver, Jr. & Eleanor of New Oxford; her 6 grandchildren:  Emily Kress, Katie Haas, Derek Reaver, Caleb Swartz, Neal Harner and Jennifer Swartz; her 5 great grandchildren and her sisters, Bernadette Fritz of Wisconsin and Anne Ness of Taneytown.  Marlene was a member of Gettysburg Foursquare Church.  She enjoyed playing Scrabble with her friend, Connie Trump, Wednesday Night Girls Group with her neighborhood friends and RV traveling with her husband.

Funeral Service is Tuesday, May 14,  at 11 A.M. at Little's Funeral Home, Littlestown, with Pastor Mark Chester officiating. Viewing is Monday, May 13, from 6 - 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment is in St. Joseph Cemetery, Taneytown.  In lieu of flowers, Marlene is requesting that donations be made to the "Wellspan York/Adams Health Foundation" at 50 N.  Duke St., 2nd floor, York, PA  17401 or wellspan.orgdonate (This organization assists cancer patients with their medical bills.)  Online condolences may be shared on www. littlesfh.com.
