Biography: Charles Kenneth Heffner, 61, of Gettysburg, died Sunday, Dec 31, 2023, at his home. Born Sept 20, 1962 in Frederick, he was the son of the late Paul & Aldena (Engle) Heffner. He was a plumber's helper at Joe Garland's Plumbing for years until he was unable to work. He loved the outdoors, football and watching Ice Road Truckers. Charles had a very loving soul.
Surviving are his sisters: Fran Frey, Daisy Thompson, Dottie Jones, Patty Able, Barbara Stoffa and Carolyn Boone; his brothers, Paul Heffner and Bobby Toms; his loving companion, Angie Blankenship; special nephew Jerry "Jer Bear" May and his loving caregiver, Jennifer Eyler. He was predeceased by his siblings: Donald Toms, Elmer Toms, Lena Swanson, Linda Fogle, Mary Fringer and Ruth Elaine Heffner.
