Biography: Carolyn Grace Batton, 91, of Littlestown, died Saturday, Dec 23, 2023, at UPMC Hanover Hospital.  She was the widow of William A. Batton, Jr. who died Oct 8, 2022.  Born Sept 28, 1932 in Baltimore, Carolyn was the daughter of the late Raymond & Eleanor Tiedemann Wannenwetsch.  She was a 1952 Western High School graduate of Baltimore.  She had been a medical secretary.

Surviving are her son, William A. Batton, III of Sykesville,  MD, C. Joanne Baylis & Jeff of Littlestown and Paula Catherine of St. Cloud, FL; her grandchildren, Christopher Hertel, Jessica Hertel and Jennifer Madigan; her great grandchildren, Adam, Madelyn, Rileigh, Landon, Pateleigh and Declan.  She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Littlestown and Our Lady of Grace of Romney, WV.  Carolyn enjoyed quilting, liked Word Searches and volunteering at the humane society.  She loved  her pets and especially loved her grand and great grandchildren.
