Biography: Eugene E. Hartlaub, 82, of Littlestown, died Sunday, Dec 17, 2023, at Genesis, Gettysburg Center. He was the husband of Joyce L. (Chrismer) Hartlaub for 63 years.  Born June 5, 1941 in Hanover, Eugene was the son of the late Paul & Lucy (Storm) Hartlaub.  He was a heavy equipment operator for Keystone Sanitation retiring in 1990.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his son, Eugene A. Hartlaub & Tammy of New Oxford; his daughters, Lisa M. Weaver & Duane of Littlestown, Edith C. Kline of Littlestown and Julie DeGroft & Ronald, Jr. of Gettysburg; his 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and his brothers, Edward Hartlaub of Raystown and Richard Hartlaub of Littlestown.   Eugene was predeceased by his sisters:  Pauline Tipton, Mary LePore, Rose Chrismer, Ruth Toomey, Edith Bailey and  his brothers:  Austin, Paul, Leo, Joseph, Francis, Charles, Robert, John and Bernard Hartlaub. Eugene was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Littlestown; a life member of Littlestown FOE, and a member of the Catholic War Veterans of Bonneauville.  He was an avid hunter, loved John Deer tractors and mostly enjoyed time spent with his family.

Viewing is Thursday, Dec 21, from 4 - 6 P.M. at Little's Funeral Home, Littlestown.   Mass of Christian Burial is Friday, Dec 22, at 10 A.M. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church with The Rev. C. Anthony Miller Celebrant.  Interment is in the Parish cemetery. Memorials in Eugene's name may be sent to his church @ 29 S. Joyce, Jimmy, & family - we are so sorry for your loss. We pray that you have the strength and love you need. Eugene was a kind and good man that always had a smile and a laugh for everyone - I'll remember so many first day of deer seasons in the garage, and great parties too. Always remember him celebrating life. LYA
