Biography: Daniel S. Edwards, 95, of Littlestown died Thursday, November 9, 2023, at his home. He was the husband of Joy E. (Newman) Edwards who died January 12, 2006.  Born October 13, 1928 in Madison County, VA, he was the son of the late Rebecca Dora Edwards.

Dan worked as a mechanic for Wintrode Buick/Chevrolet of Littlestown for over 40 years. He later had a tree trimming business in the surrounding area.

Surviving are his daughter, Jenny L. Alvarez, of Gettysburg and son, Danny L. Edwards, of Carlisle; his grandchildren, Jeremy, Kevin, Brittany and great grandchildren, Aiden, Dane, Julian and Morgan; his nephew, Jeff Newman;  his sister-in-law, Stephanie Newman; special neighbors, Kim and Bill Henderson and their children, Harley, Cheyenne and Destiny  and nieces and nephews. The Hendersons cared for Dan for many years and kept him out of trouble.  Dan was predeceased by his daughter, Linda J. Miller and his grandson, Benjamin.  He enjoyed spending time with Miller Racing which involved his daughter, Linda, Son-in-law, Keith and grandson, Jeremy.  He also enjoyed eating at Dart Drive Hot Dog Shop.

Funeral services will be Thursday, November 16, at Little's Funeral Home,Littlestown at 11 A.M. with The Rev. Richard Michael of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, officiating.  Viewing is Thursday 10 - 11 AM.  at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover. With our deepest sympathy to his family and friends. Mr. Dan was always a pleasure to be around. He will sorely be missed.

So sorry. I knew Mr. Edwards my whole life. I did work with him trimming trees. He was a hard worker and did a great job. RIP Mr. Edwards.
I didn't have the pleasure of knowing Dan for as long as I would have liked but the little time I spent with my son's great grandfather was amazing! I myself love history and when we road together he would tell me different things and trees he worke
