Biography:

Dona Lynn Miller, 79, of Littlestown, PA, passed away Monday, September 11, 2023, at her home. Born January 31, 1944 at Canonsburg Hospital in PA, she was the daughter of the late Edward & Margaret (Wilson) Rettinger. She was the beloved wife of Dale Lee Miller. 
 
Surviving in addition to her husband, are her children:  Robert Miller & Valerie of Chantilly, VA; Amy VonSchirach & Marc of Westminster, MD, Christine Chmielewski of Littlestown, PA and Brian Miller of Charlotte, NC; her grandchildren (from oldest to youngest): Hannah, Leo, Faith, Ben, Kirsten & Heath; whom all she was deeply loved by. Her sisters: Mary Ann Barnes of Greensboro, NC, Peggy DallaPiazza of McDonald, PA, Kathy McCombs of FL and Gayle Sweetie of FL.  Dona was predeceased by her brothers - David, Chuck, and Billy Rettinger.  
 
Dona was a 1961 graduate of Fort Cherry High School in McDonald, PA. She was a majorette and on June 15, 1964, she was crowned the queen of the McDonald Diamond Jubilee.  Dona was a member of the Westminster American Legion Ladies Aux.  She was a devoted homemaker and very active enjoying family time, dancing, bingo, shopping, cleaning, baking, the sunshine and being in or near the pool! 
 
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 28th, at 4 P.M. at McDonald Presbyterian Church, 119 Station St., McDonald, PA 15057, with The Rev. Justin Amsler officiating.  There will be a dinner reception following the service at 4:30pm. 
 
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 4th, from 1-6pm at the American Legion, Post 31, 2 Sycamore St., Westminster, MD 21157. 
Contributions can be made to Bridging Life Hospice, 292 StonerAve., Westminster MD 21157
