Biography: Dorothy E. Hartlaub, 95, of Littlestown, died Monday, Sept 4, 2023 at Transitions Health Care, Gettysburg. She was the widow of Richard B. Hartlaub who died July 12, 1989. Born Dec 16, 1927 in Carroll County, Dot was the daughter of the late Paul & Valeria (Long) Stonesifer. She was a 1946 Littlestown High School graduate. She had been employed with I.H. Crouse & Sons and Cambridge Rubber Co. Dot was president and treasurer of Littlestown Senior Citizens. She owned and operated Dot's Tot Shop for 7 years. She was president, secretary and treasurer of Hanover Organ Club. Dot served as chairman of American Red Cross Bloodmobile Drive for 4 years.
Surviving are her daughters: Peggy Roser & John of Littlestown, Kathy Myers & William of Littlestown and Patty Liddick & Kenneth of Enola; her grandchildren: Chad Roser, Kyle Liddick, Lori Neuhaus and Amanda Bynaker; her great grandchildren: Tyler & Kaitlyn Bynaker, Sawyer & Hudson Roser. Dot was predeceased by her son, Allen B. Hartlaub who died Feb. 28, 2003 and her sister, Margaret l. Stoneifer who died Nov 4, 2017. She was a life member of Redeemer's UCC, Littlestown where she was church secretary for 13 years, financial secretary, Elder & Deacon of the church, Secretary, Treasurer & Superintendent of Christian Education,organized Golden Agers Senior Citizens and president of Ladies Aid of the church.
Private Graveside service will be officiated by The Rev. Sterling Fritz in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Littlestown. Contributions in Dot's name may be made to Redeemer's UCC, 107 E. King St., Littlestown, PA 17340. Online condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.com.
