Biography:
Josephine E. Thompson, 86, of Littlestown, died Monday, June 12, at her home. She was the widow of Herbert K. Thompson who died in Dec 31, 2012. Born Jan 16, 1937 in Laurel, MD, Josephine was the daughter of Eustace L. & Grace V. (Quill) Noble. She was a high school graduate and a homemaker. Surviving are her sons, Carl S. Thompson & Lisa of Littlestown and John L. Thompson & Eve of Sykesville; her daughters, Jo Beth (Thompson) Murphy of Hampstead and Caroline N. Taylor of Willoughby, OH; her eleven grandchildren; her brother, Robert A. Noble & Lyn of Williston, FL and her sister, Elizabeth Lee Mueller of Hunt Valley, MD. Josephine was predeceased by her son-in-law, Daniel Murphy; her sisters, Mary McCormack and Virginia Page and her brother, Edward Noble.
Josephine was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church of Manchester, MD. She enjoyed gardening, knitting and reading. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Mountain View Cemetery in Marriottsville, MD. Online condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.com.
