William E. Adams, 84 of Hanover died early Friday Aug. 3 at the Gettysburg Lutheran Home. He was the husband of Rita C. Hollen Adams of Hanover. Born May 12, 1928 in Hollidaysburg, he was the son of the late Timothy C. and Rose Marie Degenhart Adams. William worked for Harold Dubs Construction of Hanover and retired from the Littlestown Foundry in 1990. He served in the U. S. Navy. In addition to his wife, William is survived by a daughter Margaret M. Hilker and husband James of Hanover, grandchildren, James Hilker Jr, Kimberly Connelly, Christopher Hilker, Colby Hilker, 7 great grandchildren and a brother Patrick Adams of New York . He was predeceased by a son Anthony E. Adams and many brothers and sisters. He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Littlestown and the Knights of Columbus in McSherrystown. There will be a Memorial Mass on Tuesday Aug 7 at 11 AM at St. Aloysius Catholic Church , Littlestown with the Rev. James M. Sterner celebrant. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in St. Monica Church Cemetery, Chest Springs PA.
