Thomas L. Bucher Obituary

Thomas L. Bucher, 80 of Hanover and formerly of Littlestown died Sunday July 5 at The Golden Living Center, Gettysburg. He was the husband of Nancy Kerchner Bucher of Hanover for 62 years. Born September 19, 1934 in Hanover, he was the son of the late Clark and Evelyn Wackerman Bucher. Tom was a 1953 graduate of Littlestown High School. He retired from the Littlestown Hardware and Foundry. In addition to his wife, Tom is survived by 3 sons, Jay L. Bucher of Hanover, Leonard T Bucher and wife Kathy of Littlestown and Steven K Bucher of Hatfield, PA. 2 daughters,  Vicki L Masemer and husband Rick of Littlestown and Debbie Ann Bucher of N.C. 10 grandchildren,  10 great grandchildren and a brother Kenneth Bucher of Gettysburg. He was predeceased by a daughter Patty Jean Bucher, great granddaughter Marcella Spangler, and a brother John Bucher. Tom was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Littlestown. He loved hunting, fishing and watching his family compete in activities and watching football and baseball. Funeral service is Wednesday July 8 at 11 AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church with the Rev. John G. Largen officiating. There will be a viewing 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Memorials have been asked to go to his church at 665 St. John’s Rd.
