S. Kenneth Ogg Obituary

S. Kenneth Ogg, 82, of Littlestown, passed away on Sun, Oct 4, at his home.  He was born May 28, 1933 in Westminster, the son of the late Stanley B. & Martha E. (Logue) Ogg.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty A. Ogg Bildstein.  Kenny is survived by his wife, Helen Mae (Spangler) Ogg; his son, Richard K. Ogg and spouse Patricia; his daughter, Sherry L. Ogg and spouse Julie Crooke; his grandchildren, Jennifer R. Bentzel and spouse, Jason;  Jamisen L. Ogg and partner, Quinn Conway; Benjamin A. Ogg Crooke, Scout D. Ogg Crooke and Magnus L. Ogg Crooke; his great grandchildren, Ava M. Bentzel, Diezel E. Bentzel and Agathe L. Ogg. He is also survived by his brother, Donald W. Ogg of Frederick.   Kenny graduated from Westminster High School in 1951, and then worked as an accountant at the Cambridge Rubber Company in Taneytown.  Kenny and Helen were married Nov 8, 1952. He was inducted into the US Army in 1953 and served in the Korean Conflict until his honorable discharge in 1955.  Upon his return to the states, he continued his accounting career at the Littlestown Hardware and Foundry, Inc during which time he was involved in the creation of Hadco Lighting Company in Littlestown.  In 1972 he purchased Spangler Oil Company which he transitioned into Keneco Oil Co. and Keneco Diversified Inc.  He pursued his business passion for 43 years as the owner and CEO of Keneco until July 2015 at which time his family assumed management of the business.   Kenny was a member and past councilman of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Littlestown. He was an active member of Littlestown Jaycees for many years and served on the Board of Directors at Community National Bank and PNC.  He sponsored numerous youth softball teams and volunteered his accounting services to many community organizations.  He enjoyed sporting events, boating, reading history and word puzzles.   Funeral Service is Thurs at 11 A.M. at St. John’s Lutheran Church with The Rev. John G. Largen officiating.  There will be NO Viewing; however, the family with receive friends 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 Wed at Little’s Funeral Home, Littlestown.  Interment is in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Littlestown.  Contributions in Ken’s name may be sent to American Cancer Society, P O Box 3535, Gettysburg, PA  17325; or his church @ 665 St. Johns Rd., Littlestown, PA  17340.  Online condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.com
