Ruth E. Newman, 92, formerly of Littlestown, died Early Mon, April 22, at the Masonic Care Health Center in Wallingford, CT. She was the wife of Herman L “Bud” Newman who died Feb 21, 2012. Born Apr 1, 1921 in Wilkes County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Pleasant Watson and Samantha (Moody) Pettyjohn.  Ruth had worked at Windsor Shoe of Littlestown and was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Littlestown.   Surviving are a daughter, Karen Newman Smith and husband, Steven, of Cheshire, CT and three grandchildren:  Daniel, Samantha and Katherine Smith, all of Cheshire.   Funeral Service is Fri, Apr 26, at 11:30 A.M. at Little’s Funeral Home, Littlestown with the Rev. Sandra R. Mackie officiating.  Viewing is one hour prior to service time. Interment is in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover.  Memorials in Ruth’s name may be sent to:  American Cancer Society – P.O.
