Robert Clair Shanefelter, 89, of Littlestown, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Spiritrust Lutheran, the Village at Gettysburg.

Born November 27, 1935 in Littlestown, he was the son of the late Samuel A., Sr. and Marguerite V. (Kuhn) Shanefelter.

Mr. Shanefelter was employed with the Littlestown Foundry for 50 years and was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Littlestown where he served as an usher.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Utz, Bowie, MD; brother, Samuel A. Shanefelter, Jr. and wife Jane, Hanover and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Wantz and brothers Joseph, Clinton and James Shanefelter.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 29 S. Queen St., Littlestown with Rev. C. Anthony Miller, Celebrant.  Burial will be in St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery, Littlestown.
