Richard P Rickrode Obituary

Richard P. Rickrode, 75, of Littlestown, died Monday A.M., June 9, at home.  Born Oct 10, 1938 in Littlestown, he was the son of the late Emory B. & Martha F. (Hartlaub) Rickrode.  In earlier years, he was employed with Windsor Shoe, Co., Littlestown and later was a self-employed painter working with his family business, Rickrode Contractors.    Rich is survived by two brothers, John Rickrode of Littlestown and Larry Rickrode of East Berlin; a sister, Mildred Riggins of Littlestown; 10 nieces and 9 nephews.  Rich was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Baughman and Esther Huff and four brothers:  James, Harry, Curtis & George Rickrode.  Rich enjoyed helping to take care of his nieces and nephews, his “kids”; tinkering with his lawnmowers and farming with his brothers.   Funeral Service is Thurs., at 10 A.M. at Little’s Funeral Home, Littlestown, with Pastor Mike Sponseller of First Church of God, Hanover, officiating.  Viewing is Wed 6 – 8 P.M. at the funeral home.  Interment is in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Littlestown.  Pallbearers will be “the girls”:  Stephenie Downing, Michelle Wigley, Nicole & Lacey McLane and nephews, Gary Rickrode and Shane Riggins.  Memorials in Rich’s name may be made to VNA Hospice, 440 N.
