Paul E. Harman, 87, of Westminster, died early Wed., Oct 8, at Golden Living Center, Westminster. He was the husband of Elaine R. (Richards) Harman for 66 years. Born Sept 18, 1927 in Silver Run, he was the son of the late Calvin H. & Edna (Maus) Harman. Paul was a Westminster High School graduate and was a self employed farmer until 1964. He was a school bus contractor for 30 years for Carroll County Schools and was owner/operator for both Meadow View Swimming Pool in Silver Run and also owned a used car business. Surviving in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Paula E. Fritz & husband, William, of Westminster; a son, Vaughn R. Harman & wife, Lisa, of Rehoboth Beach, DE; 3 grandchildren: Holly E. Byrnes, Haley J. Harman & Tara E. Harman; 2 brothers: Allen Harman of Westminster and Fred Harman of Gettysburg. Paul was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Dutterer and 3 brothers: John, George & Robert Harman. Paul was a member of St. Mary’s U.C.C., Silver Run. He loved going to car auctions and also loved maintaining Meadow View swimming pool. Funeral Service is Friday, Oct 10, at 12 noon at St. Mary’s UCC, Silver Run with his pastor, The Rev. Patricia Barth officiating. Viewing is Friday 11-12 P.M. at the church. Interment is in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Memorials in Paul’s name may be sent to St. Mary’s U.C.C., 1441 E.
