Mildred Hope Davis Obituary

Mildred “Hope” Davis, 86, of Littlestown, went to be with the Lord surrounded by her family early Friday A.M., July 17, at Hanover Hall.  She was the widow of Earl Davis who died Nov 14, 2012.  Born July 14, 1929 in Teterton, WV, she was the daughter of the late Elmer A. & Verona (Bible) Harper.  Hope retired in 1997 from Littonian Shoe and had also been employed with Hanover Shoe, Carroll Shoe, Dutterer’s Restaurant and was an Avon representative for many years.   Surviving are a son, Randy A. Davis & wife, Yvonne, of Littlestown; a daughter, Carolyn H. Vile & husband, Preston, of Littlestown; 3 grandchildren; 3 step granddaughters; 2 great grandchildren; 8 step great grandchildren; a brother, Elmer L. Harper of Redlands, CA; and 2 sisters:  Ina Lawver and Norma Bechtel, both of Highlands, CA.  Hope was predeceased by a son, Danny A. Davis.  She was a member of Bart’s Centenary United Methodist Church, Littlestown.  Hope liked NASCAR, collecting antiques, Barbie dolls and listening to gospel and country music.  She also loved visiting family in the summertime in West Virginia.   Funeral Service is Monday at 11 A.M. at Little’s Funeral Home, Littlestown with The Rev. Greg Rap of First United Methodist Church, Hanover, officiating.  Viewing is Monday 10 –11 A.M. at the funeral home.  Interment is in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Littlestown.  Memorials in Hope’s name may be sent to her church @ 56 E.
