Loretta J. Beachtel, 79, of Littlestown, died Tues, Nov 4, at her home. She was the widow of the late Paul M. Beachtel who died May 26, 2014. They were married for 62 yrs. She was born June 18, 1935 in Gettysburg. Loretta was a 1952 Littlestown High School graduate. She was a homemaker and was a medical secretary in her early working years. Surviving are 2 sons: David M. Beachtel & wife, Ellen; Ralph M. Beachtel & wife, Darlene, all of Littlestown; 4 grandchildren: Murry E. Beachtel & finance Katie Longfellow; Cheyenne N., Anne M. & Dakota M. Beachtel; a great granddaughter, Aubrey Van Brakle; brother, Allen Duncan of Gettysburg; sister, Julia Haines of Littlestown and nieces and nephews. Loretta was predeceased by brothers and sisters. Loretta loved flowers, gardening, animals and her family. Funeral Service is Friday, Nov 7, at 11 A.M. at Littles Funeral Home, Littlestown with The Rev. Craig Arentz officiating. The family will receive friends 10:30 11 A.M. Friday at the funeral home. Interment is in St. Marys Cemetery, Silver Run, MD.
