Josephine Ellen "JoEllen" Hueglin Obituary

Josephine Ellen “JoEllen” Hueglin, passed away peacefully after a very brief and brave battle with ALS. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, great aunt and friend.  She was tiny but mighty, fierce and loyal. She lived a life showing others kindness and compassion and touched many lives in her volunteer work. She was a regular volunteer at her girl’s schools when they were growing up and her spirit of volunteerism was present as a religious education teacher and Girl Scout leader and member of Girl Scout Council on Long Island.

When she had grandchildren, they were the light of her life. She served in the Friendly group at St Aloysius Church in her retirement and was a member of the Littlestown Gardening club. She was an amazing cook and baker. She loved the fun and quirky things in life and was an all-around incredible human.

She is survived by her husband Daniel Hueglin, Littlestown with whom she would have celebrated 54 years of marriage on June 12th; daughters, Heather Hueglin Marchese and husband Carl, Ellicott City, MD and Holly Wade and husband Benjamin, New Freedom, PA; brother, Vincent Rocco and wife Christine, MacPherson, KS; sister, Rose Piccora and husband Michael, Unionville, PA; grandchildren, Jonathan Wade, Cooper Marchese and Rocco Marchese and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dominic S. and Marie C. (Pino) Rocco.
