Joan E. Battaglia, 81, of Fayettville, PA, died Sat A.M., June 21, at Lorien of Taneytown.  Born Nov 5, 1932 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late James O. & Josephine E. (Florin) Booker.  She was a high school graduate in Baltimore and worked in sales.  Surviving are her children:  Debbie Simmons & husband, Jimmy, of Ft. Wayne, IN; Dawn Luhn & husband, Earl, of Taneytown; Darla Seal & husband, Joe, of Littlestown; Martin E. Knight & wife, Carla, of Chestertown, MD; 5 grandchildren:  Amber Dulaney of Union Bridge, Earl Luhn III of Taneytown,  Joe Seal of Littlestown, and Kelly & Tyler Knight of Chestertown; two great grandchildren, Emma Dulaney of Union Bridge and Emmitt Knight of Chestertown;  brother James Booker & wife, Harlene, of OH and sister Joyce Farmer & husband, Bill, of DE.    Joan loved to work, paint, dance, go to auctions and yard sales.  She also enjoyed gardening and decorating.   A Memorial Service will be held Tues at 10 A.M. at Little’s Funeral Home, Littlestown with The Rev. Timothy J.
