Jean E. Tully Obituary

Jean E. Tully, 92, of New Oxford, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2025 at The Brethren Home. She was the loving wife of James P. Tully who passed away August 9, 2010.


Born August 26, 1932 in Gettysburg, she was the daughter of the late Kathleen and Norman Heiner and was raised by her grandparents, Nellie and Harvey Martin.


She attended Littlestown Schools and was a member of Redeemers United Church of Christ, Littlestown. Jean worked at Westminster Knit and was active with the Girl Scouts, serving as assistant leader. 


Jean was a life member of Blue Ridge Sportsman’s Association, an auxiliary member of the Amvets, Fairfield and a member of the Littlestown V.F.W. She and her husband were the first to be inducted into the PA Eagle Hall of Fame. She was also an auxiliary member and past president of the auxiliary of the Littlestown Eagles. Other memberships and activities include PA State Trustee, Hanover Elks, Women’s Club of Littlestown, Hanover Court/Amaranth, Democrat Committee Person, Ward 2, Littlestown and past Democratic Vice Chairperson of Adams County.


She is survived by her daughters, Deborah J. Danner (Bryan), Dillsburg and Lisa M. Kaiser (Pete), New Oxford; brother, Barron Heiner, Westminster, MD; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her sisters, Nancy Eltz and Norma Alwine.


Service and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
