Jay D. “Red Man” Little, Sr., 59, of Littlestown, died Wed, Sept 24, at his home. He was the husband of Vicki S. (Ilyes) Little for 27 years. Born May 20, 1955 in Gettysburg, he was the son of the late David S. & Marion H. (Hawk) Little. Red Man was a 1973 Littlestown High School graduate where he played football. He was a ‘99 Gettysburg HACC grad with an associate’s degree in Geo Environmental Science where he was a Phi Theta Kappa fraternity member. He was a self employed upholsterer concentrating on pre-war antique cars. He was employed with Heidlersburg Twp as a zoning officer code administrator. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Sadie S. Little & Jake Hurlock of Littlestown; a son Jay D. Little, Jr. & Julia L. Kolasa of Littlestown; granddaughter Layla M. Little and English Mastiff, Jack; 3 brothers: Posie Steven Pfaff of Oklahoma; Ned A. Little of King of Prussia and Jon F. Little of Littlestown and 2 sisters: C. Kay Kime of Littlestown and Patty L. Cooley of Arizona. Jay loved riding his motorcycle, being with family & friends and motivating people to be the best they could be. He was a life member/past president of Mason Dixon Chapter ABATE of PA. He was founder of ABATE Christmas for Kids where he will always be remembered as Santa Claus. For the past few years, Jay was president of York County Zoning & Building Permit Officials Assoc. He was a member of Littlestown FOE and as Red Man always said, “Everyday is a holiday and every meal is a banquet!” A Celebration of Life for Red Man is Saturday, Sept 27, at 1 P.M. at 750 Bowers Rd., Littlestown with the Rev. Timothy J. Kielley of New Hope Faith Community Church, Hanover, officiating.
