Janet L. (Good) Lippy Obituary

Janet L. (Good) Lippy, 91, of Littlestown, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Glenn N. Lippy Sr., with whom she shared 63 years of marriage before his passing in 2014.

Born December 21, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Robert C. and Mary L. (Wine) Good. She attended Littlestown High School and later married Glenn, a young farmer she met at the skating rink. Together they built a life rooted in faith, family, and hard work.

While raising their family, Janet worked alongside her husband on Glenn-Jen Farm, their dairy farm. She remained active into her later years and was still operating a weed trimmer at age 91. In addition to farming, Janet and Glenn became known for raising registered Saint Bernard puppies, with many finding homes across the country and even appearing in the production of Noah at Sight & Sound Theatres in Lancaster.

Janet and Glenn were also proud founders of the annual Santa Claus Fly-In at the family-owned Kingsdale Airport, a tradition enjoyed by families throughout the area. For many years, they also shared a Christmas light display on their farm, enjoyed by visitors from near and far.

Janet was a gifted self-taught seamstress who shared her talents with members of the local 4-H Club. She also enjoyed crafting, working puzzles, and creating handmade projects. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Janet is survived by her daughter, Sharon L. Rinehart of Littlestown; her son, Glenn N. Lippy Jr. and his wife, Tanya, of Littlestown; her sister, Ruth Ann Brumgard of Spokane, Washington; her brother, Wayne Good of Florida; her grandchildren, Jenell, Jeena, Jenae, Jodee, Shawn, Erika, and Rourke; many loving great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Janet was preceded in death by her siblings, Delores Hess, Sunny Good, and Gerald Good.

A service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Little's Funeral Home, 34 Maple Avenue, Littlestown, with Pastor Garry Sheaffer officiating. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a viewing from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Food and fellowship will be held afterward at Christ Church, Littlestown.

Pallbearers will be Patrick May, Donald Koons, Shawn Lippy, and Rourke Lippy, with Tom Danner serving as an honorary pallbearer.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ Church or the charity of one's choice.
