Harold S Noble Obituary

Harold S. Noble, 92, formerly of Littlestown, died Tues A.M., May 27, at the Brethren Home, New Oxford.  He was the husband of Helen M. (Morelock) Noble for 67 years.  Born Jan. 29, 1922 in Littlestown, he was the son of the late Allen & Edna (Reinaman) Noble.  He served in the Army during WWII and was in Bataan & the Philippine Islands.  Harold was employed with Trostle’s Furniture, Littlestown for 50 years.    Surviving in addition to his wife, are five children:  Sylvia B. Noble of Abbottstown; Sydney L. Crouse & husband, Bruce of Littlestown; Bernie A. Noble & wife, Deborah of Littlestown; Sonja L. Gladhill & husband, Jim of Gettysburg and Tony B. Noble & wife, Connie of Littlestown; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 sisters:  Dorothy M. Rocks of Pompano Beach, FL and Evelyn Stuller of Littlestown.  Harold was predeceased by a daughter, Shelley K. Noble who died in 1976 and a brother, Monroe E. Noble. He was a member of First Baptist Church, life member of the V.F.W. and American Legion member, all of Littlestown.   Harold enjoyed family time, golfing, hunting and watching town team baseball & football, Littlestown’s Dodgers & Thunderbolts.   Funeral Service is Sat. at 10:30 A.M. at his church with Pastor Gary R. Bowers and Harold’s grandson-in-law, Pastor Steven DiBiase officiating.  Viewing is 9:30 – 10:30 A.M. at the church.  Interment is in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover.  Pallbearers will be:  Shane, Ryan & Brady Crouse, T.J. Noble, Steve Moore and Jan Johnson.  Memorials in Harold’s name may be sent to his church @ P.O. Box 463, 5015 Baltimore Pike, Littlestown, PA  17340  or  VNA Hospice, 440 N.
