Frances G. Reed Obituary

Frances G. Reed, 88, formerly of Littlestown, died early Tues A.M., April 14, at Transitions of Gettysburg.  She was the widow of John J. Reed who died in 2007.  Born March 22, 1927 in Littlestown, Frances was the daughter of the late Edgar & Zelda (Walters) Yingling.  She had been employed with several shoe factories in the area and also Hadco and Jack Tar.   Surviving are 5 sons:  Ronnie Reed of Gettysburg; Terry & Robert Reed, both of Hanover; Michael & Charles Reed, both of Littlestown; 4 daughters:  Judy Smith & Bonnie Kagarise, both of Hanover; Kathy Williams of East Berlin; Lori Slonaker of Gettysburg; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; 3 brothers:  Blaine Yingling of Hanover; Raymond Yingling of Littlestown; Sidney Yingling of Gettysburg and her sister, Esther Mertz of Orrtanna.  Frances was predeceased by her son, Barry A. Reed who died in 2011; 2 brothers:  Robert & Charles Yingling and her sister, Zelda (Yingling) Mundorff.  She enjoyed gardening, listening to her granddaughters play the piano and being with her family.   Funeral Service is Friday, April 17, at 2 P.M. at Little’s Funeral  Home, Littlestown with The Rev. Timothy J. Kielley of New Hope Faith Community Church, Hanover, officiating.  Viewing is Friday 1 – 2 P.M. at the funeral  home.  Interment is in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Littlestown.
