Edward Stephen Jantz, 76, of Littlestown, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2024 at home with his family by his side.  He was the loving husband of Judy L. (Tallman) Jantz, Littlestown; together they shared 53 years of marriage.

Born November 27, 1948 in Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Edward and Eileen (Kussin) Jantz.

Edward proudly served in the U.S. Air Force (Blue Beret) and the U.S. Navy aboard the USS America.  Early in his career, he taught navigation to midshipmen at the Naval Academy.  He was employed for 30 years as a computer analyst with T. Rowe Price in Baltimore.  Edward was very active and enjoyed biking and running.  He was a member of the Annapolis Striders and ran many 10-milers and marathons in his lifetime.  Edward was very proud of his children and their accomplishments.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Michael Jantz and wife Karri, Fredericksburg, VA; Matthew Jantz and wife Wendy, Pasadena, MD and Nicole Jantz-Stephis and wife Cathy, Westminster, MD; siblings, Lorraine Spena and husband Robert, Rochester, NY; Stephen Jantz and wife Peggy, Webster, NY and Margaret Loehr and husband Robert, Mason, OH and grandchildren, Ayla, Baylee, Benjamin, and Charlotte.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Susan (Jantz) Mura.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, December 15, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Little’s Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 34 Maple Ave., Littlestown with Rev. Dr. Richard F. Michael officiating.  A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Sunday from 2:00 PM until the start of the service at the funeral home.  Private burial will be in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, Owings Mills, MD.
