Edna M. Hitt Obituary

Edna M. Hitt, 82, of Littlestown died Sunday, January 25, at the Gettysburg Hospital. She was the widow of the Late Cecil G. Harris, William Waltz and  Junior Leo Hitt. Born July 19, 1932 in Carroll County, Edna was the daughter of the late Charles W.  & Bessie (Barber) Lowe.  She was a 1952 Westminster High School graduate. Edna was a C.N.A. and was employed with Carroll County General Hospital, Morning Glory Nursing Home of Littlestown and various other nursing homes.    Surviving are a daughter, Wanetta Black & fiance Lonnie Baumgardner of New Windsor;  2 sons:  Glenn Alan Harris of Hanover and Marlin F. Harris of Essex; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; 2 brothers:  Roy Lowe of Hanover and Raymond Lowe of Hagerstown and 3 sisters:  Rosie Long of Westminster, Mary Catherine Devilbiss of Harney and Darlene Lowe.  Edna was predeceased by 2 brothers:  Francis & Edward Lowe.  She attended First Baptist Church of Littlestown.  Edna enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening, bird watching,  Blue grass music and antique cars.   Funeral service is Thurs, Jan 29, at 12 noon at Little’s Funeral  Home, Littlestown with The Rev. Gary Bowers officiating.  Viewing is Thursday 11 A.M. – 12 P.M. at the funeral home.  Interment is in Meadow Branch Cemetery, Westminster.  Online condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.com.
