Earl S Groft Jr., 76 of Westminster died Saturday Feb 16 at Chapel Hill Nursing and Rehab in Randallstown. He was the husband of Betty R. Martin Groft of Westminster for 48 years. Born January 28 1937 in Union Mills, he was the son of the late Kathryn Miller Bechtel. Earl was the owner operator of Miller Tire Services in Union Mills for 31 years, retiring in 1988.   Earl is survived by 2 sons, Frank Staub and wife Judy of Hanover, Brian Groft and wife Patricia of Union Mills and a daughter, Luann Horn and husband Kenneth of Forest Hills, Md. 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister Sarah Bechtel Flynn and a brother Wilbur Bechtel.   Earl was a member of Faith Community Bible Church of Union Mills and a life member of the NRA.   Funeral Services will be Tues. Feb 19 at 1 PM at Faith Community Bible Church, with Pastor John Stiles officiating. There will be no viewing. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Silver Run.
