Earl R. Colestock, 92, of Hanover died Tues, Nov 11, at his home. He was the the widower of the late Anna R. (Matthias) Walmer Colestock who died July 24, 2009. Born July 5, 1922 in New Oxford, Earl was the son of the late Earl & Anna Mae (Rider) Colestock. He was both a Hanover High School and Tech School in Philadelphia graduate. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Earl was a retired Engineer with Doubleday of Hanover. Surviving are a stepson, Thomas H. Walmer & wife, Donna; a step grandson, Thomas H. Walmer, II & wife, Elaine, all of Hanover; a step great grandson, Daniel T. Walmer & wife, Becky, of Wasilla, AK and 4 sisters: Harriet Cromer of Hanover; Julia Hoffnagle of New Oxford; Delores Miller of McSherrystown and Joyce Linkey of Lancaster. Earl was predeceased by a step great grandson, Samuel Walmer; sister Mary Rebecca Laughman and brother Harold Colestock. Earl was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Littlestown. He enjoyed woodworking, bird watching and gardening. Funeral Service is Friday, Nov 14, at 11 A.M. at Littles Funeral Home, Littlestown with Pastor D. Fred Miller officiating. Viewing is Thurs 6 8 P.M. and one hour prior to service time Friday all at the funeral home. Interment is in St. Marys Cemetery, Silver Run. Memorials in Earls name may be sent to VNA Hospice, 440 N.
