Dorothy T. Snyder Obituary

Dorothy Marie (Taylor) Snyder, 85, died Wednesday, June 27, at Utz Terrace in Hanover from complications of Parkinson's disease. She was born August 12, 1926, the daughter of the late Harold E. & Marie (Kuntz) Taylor. She was the wife of L. Robert Snyder of Littlestown for 65 years. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Nancy S. Chambers of Gettysburg, son Steven L. Snyder and daughter, Diane M. Snyder, both of Littlestown, her sister Elaine T. Ecker and her brother, D. Owen Taylor, both of Biglerville. Surviving also are four grandchildren: David L. Snyder, Lyman, SC; Danielle Stansberry, Dunedin, FL; Heidi Sumser, formerly of Gettysburg, now living in Bolivia and Jayson Fredrikis, Littlestown; four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Littlestown where she was a past church secretary and member of the chancel choir for many years. She was a Hanover Hospital Auxiliary member and former Girl Scout Leader.   Funeral Service will be Saturday, June 30, at 12 noon at Little's Funeral Home, Littlestown with The Rev. Sandra Mackie officiating. There will be no Viewing; however, the family will receive friends on Saturday 10 - 12 noon at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Littlestown.
