Donald L. Berwager, 86, of Hanover, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Hanover Hall. Donald was born on December 7, 1938 to the late Leroy W. Berwager and Phoebe A. (Warner) Berwager.  He attended Littlestown High School and graduated in 1956.

Donald is survived by his wife Joan E. (Bair) Berwager to which they shared 64 years of marriage. He is survived by his sons, Tony D. Berwager and his wife Phyllis, of Lebanon, PA; Wayne Berwager and his wife Kyun-Hwa, Crownsville, MD; brother, Gary Berwager and wife Jean, Dillsburg, PA; sister, Patricia Dolgner and husband James, Elizabethton, TN; sister-in-law, Sharon Berwager, Elkton, MD; Grandchildren, Rachael High, Rebecca Davila, Angela Lippy, Lois Berwager, Lyris Berwager and Larissa Berwager; and seven great grandchildren: Ryla, Owen, Siersha and Emry High and Tyler, Kaylin and Madison Lippy.

He was preceded in death by his brother Ned Berwager.

Donald was a weather enthusiast and shared his recordings with the local weather station. Donald was a machinist employed at Alloy Rods, Hanover, Chislem Rider, Hanover and M&M Tool and Die, Littlestown. He was always ready to give anyone a tour of his place of work, and completed tasks. Like his mother, he also enjoyed singing in a group at his church. 

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Hope Baptist Church, 6450 Hope Way, Hanover with Pastor Allen G. Harris officiating.  The viewing and time to share memories with the family will be at 10 AM.  Private burial will be in Christ Church Cemetery, Littlestown.  Serving as pallbearers will be Tony Berwager, Wayne Berwager, Danny Davila, Abe Lippy, Robert High and John Lucabaugh.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Donald L. Berwager to Hope Christian School, 6450 Hope Way, Hanover, PA 17331.
