Diane R. (Messinger) Black, 76, of York, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at York North Nursing and Rehab.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Cool, Sr. and her second husband, Larry Black, Sr.

Born April 20, 1948 in Gettysburg, she was the daughter of the late Earl H. and Ruth A. (Sentz) Messinger.

Diane was employed for over 30 years with Dal Tile, Gettysburg and enjoyed crocheting.

She is survived by her children, Robin Cool, Abbottstown, Terri Wagaman and husband Charles, Hanover, Henry Cool, Hanover, Sam Cool, Hanover, John Cool and wife Greta, Hunterstown and Larry Black, Jr., Littlestown; brother, Robert Messinger and wife Hilda, Littlestown; half-sisters, Judy Laughman and husband Ralph, Hanover, Bonnie Link, Columbia, PA and Katherine Hernandez, Hanover; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her half-brother, Earl Messinger, Jr. and half-sister, Christina Rodriguez.

A funeral service will be held Friday, February 14, 2025 at 11 AM at Little’s Funeral Home & Cremation Services. 34 Maple Ave., Littlestown with Rev. Melvin Flosser officiating.  A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Friday from 10 AM until the start of the service at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg.
