Dale A. Yost, 83, of Littlestown, died Wednesday, Nov 7, at his home. He was husband of Glenda E. (Jones) Yost for 47 years. Born April 27, 1929 in York, he was the son of the late Jesse & Mary (Altland) Yost. He was a York High School graduate. Owner of Yost Meats in Littlestown for many years, he was a butcher and livestock dealer. In addition to his wife, Dale is survived by 4 sons: Kyle Yost & wife, Melissa, of Frederick; Bradley Yost and wife, Deb, of Loganville; Brian Sheffer & wife, Jana, of Frederick; Rodnie Sheffer & wife, Cathy, of Gettysburg; 3 daughters: Angie Popoff & husband, Jason, of Littlestown; Marilyn Brown & husband, Jim, of York and Constance Pernitz & husband, Scott, of Madison, WI; 15 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and a former exchange student from Spain, Santiago Cano of Mexico City, Mexico who continues to be considered a family member after 25 years. Dale was predeceased by a son, Robert Carl Yost; a daughter, Dona Ann Yost and a brother, Robert Yost. Dale loved to play cards. He was an avid sports follower; loved horse racing and also riding; he was a great bowler and enjoyed family and grandchildren. He always made people feel welcome in his home. The family wishes to thank Dr. Christopher George, Doug Crawmer and VNA of Hanover. Funeral Service is Saturday 11 A.M. at Little's Funeral Home, Littlestown with The Rev. Dr. Brad Dayett of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Stoverstown, officiating. Viewings are Friday 6 - 8 P.M. at the funeral home and 10-11 A.M. Saturday.
