Charles J. “Bud” Kvech, 86, of Littlestown, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Kingston Court Nursing & Rehab, York. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Maria A. (Monti) Kvech and his second wife, Marsha A. (Cermak) Kvech.
Born December 24, 1937 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Charles Anthony and Helen Catherine (Reip) Kvech.
Bud enlisted in the U.S. Navy at the age of 17 and served during the Vietnam War onboard an aircraft carrier. He operated a charter fishing boat out of St. Mary’s County, MD and retired as a supervisor with Baltimore County Highways. After retiring, Bud worked with the Littlestown Schools, mowing grass and he was an accomplished woodworker.
He is survived by his children, Deborah M. Shurman (Kevin), Baltimore, MD, Charles M. Kvech (Stephanie), Baltimore, MD, Elizabeth S. Fisher (Rodger), Sparrows Point, MD and Debra Williams (Jacob), San Antonio, TX; 15 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.
Bud was preceded in death by his son, Charles J. Kvech, Jr., daughter, Michelle Kvech Inlow, sister, H. Charlene Kvech and brother, Wayne “Tony” Kvech.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024 at 1:30 PM at Little’s Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 34 Maple Ave., Littlestown, PA with Rev. C. Anthony Miller officiating. A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be on Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 3 to 8 PM and on Friday from 1 PM until the start of the service, both at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover.
