Caroline M. Wood, 93, formerly of Gettysburg and currently of Littlestown, died early Mon., Aug 24, at Genesis Gettysburg Center.  She was the widow of Samuel M. Wood who died March 30, 1996.  Born May 23, 1922 in Thurmont, Caroline was the daughter of the late Elmer B. & Viola V. (Fry) Stambaugh.  She worked along with her husband building homes in the local area.   Surviving are her son-in-law, Ronald Koontz of Gettysburg;  2 grandchildren:  April Malehorn & husband, Shawn, of Hanover; Allen Koontz & wife, Jayme, of Littlestown; 7 great grandchildren; her sister, Nancy Stair of Taneytown and her brother, Elwood Stambaugh. Caroline was predeceased by her daughter, Bonnie Koontz; her sister, Virginia Goetz and 3 brothers:  John, Joe & Richard Stambaugh.  She was a member of Paradise Court Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.   Funeral Service is Thurs., Aug 27, at 10 A.M. at Little’s Funeral Home, Littlestown with Brother Robert R. Ruhlman officiating.  Viewing is Wed 6 – 8 P.M. at the funeral home.  Interment is in Mount Tabor Cemetery, Rocky Ridge, MD.  Online condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.com
