Betty Shelton Wallin, 85, of Taneytown, died Fri, July 26, at Shepherd’s Glen. She was the widow of Carol E. Wallin who died July 2, 2012. Born March 4, 1928 in TN, she was the daughter of the late Simon P. & Ethel Shelton. Betty was a high school graduate. She was a practical nurse and was retired from Spring Grove State Hospital, Catonsville. Surviving are 4 children: Emma Connelly & husband, Robert, of Berryville, VA; Barbara Brown of Littlestown; Carroll Wallin & wife, Virginia, of Linthicum; David Wallin & wife, Sally, of Hanover; 9 grandchildren: Lori Tamburo, Lisa Degitz, Shawn Brown, Nick Wallin, Paul Wooton, Charlie Wallin, Jeremy Gruss and Michele and Matthew Connelly; 10 great grandchildren; a sister, Hazel Corby of TN and a brother, Huvel Shelton of TN. Betty was predeceased by a grandson, Matthew Gruss, a son-in-law, Calvin D. Brown and brothers and sisters. Betty was a member of Littlestown VFW Ladies Aux. She loved spending time with her family. Funeral Service is Wed., July 31, at 10 A.M. at Little’s Funeral Home, Littlestown with Rev. Timothy J. Kielley, New Hope Faith Community Church, Littlestown, officiating. Viewing is Tues 5 – 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment is in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Marriottsville.
