Biography:
June S. Rife, 102, of Littlestown, died Sunday, January 13, at Martin’s Care Home, Littlestown. Born June 28, 1916 in Littlestown, June was the daughter of the late John & Minnie (Palmer) Spangler. She was a Littlestown High School graduate and was retired from The Bon-Ton, formerly of Hanover, after 35 years of employment.
Surviving are her daughter, Cynthia E. Rife of Spring Grove; her 5 grandchildren: Stacey Finfrock, Melanie Ross, Crystal Gardner, Rachel Eck and Katie Host; 2 great grandchildren, Jaide & Landen Finfrock and her brother, Oscar Spangler of Arizona. June was predeceased by her son, Ronald Rife; her sister Lois Bair and brothers, Raymond & Myles Spangler. She was a life member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, Littlestown. June enjoyed playing the piano and organ, gardening, bus trips, baking and being with family.
Funeral Service is Thursday, January 17, at 11 A.M. at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Littlestown with The Rev. Rebecca Ajer-Frantz officiating. Viewing is 10 –11 A.M. Thursday at church. Interment is in St. Johns Cemetery, Littlestown. Memorials in June’s name may be sent to church @ 665 St. Johns Rd., Littlestown, PA 17340. Online condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.com.
