Biography:
C. Dawn DeGroft, 48, of New Oxford, died Tues, May 1, at her home. She was the wife of Derrick E. DeGroft of New Oxford for 22 years. Born March 27, 1970 in Gettysburg, Dawn was the daughter of Charles “Butch” & Joyce (Remsburg) Roser of Keymar. She was a 1988 Francis Scott Key High School graduate and was employed with Pella of Gettysburg.
Surviving in addition to her husband and parents, are her son Anthony Frederick DeGroft of Keymar; her daughter Jenelle Nichole DeGroft & her fiance, Kenneth Hartsock, Jr. of Thomasville; her grandchildren: Braxton Jack, Savannah Rayne and Summer Brynn Hartsock; her step grandson, Colby Alexander Steele Hartsock ; her brother Randy Roser of Hancock, MD and her In-Laws: Francis & Jane DeGroft of Taneytown. Dawn enjoyed traveling, camping, going to the mountains, white water rafting and spending time with her family.
Funeral Service is Saturday, May 5, at 10 A.M. at Little’s Funeral Home, Littlestown with Chaplain Charlene Fowler officiating. Viewing is Friday 6 – 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Contributions have been asked to go to Derrick DeGroft – 40 Elizabeth Lane, New Oxford, PA 17350 to help defray funeral expenses.
