Biography:
Roger V. Leatherman, 61, formerly of Littlestown, died Sunday, Apr 8, at his home in Gettysburg. He was the husband of Hope (McGurk) Leatherman for 21 years. Born June 4, 1956 in Gettysburg, Roger was the son of the late Garland & Kathryn (Snyder) Leatherman. He was a 1974 Littlestown High School graduate and was a certified tank installer for P.W.I. Petroleum of New Oxford for 26 years.
Surviving in addition to his wife is his son, Joseph Leatherman & wife, Amanda, of Hanover; his daughter, Jennifer Staub & husband, Todd, of Littlestown; his 3 step sons: Dean, Galen & Daniel Graham of Red Lion; his step daughter, LeAnn Ness of Dallastown; his 4 grandchildren: Kellee & Nathan Staub and Madelyn & Brayden Leatherman; his 5 step grandchildren and his 2 brothers: Jay Leatherman & wife, Corinne of Elizabethtown, NC and Bruce Leatherman & wife, JoAnn, of Lemont, IL.
Roger was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Littlestown, New Oxford Social Club where he was 1st Vice President, a life member of McSherrystown Home Association, McSherrystown Moose, Littlestown FOE and V.F.W., Bonneauville C.W.V. and Yagertown Fire Co.
Memorial Service is Thursday, Apr 12, at 11 A.M. at his church at 330 White Hall Rd., Littlestown with Sister Deb McClellan officiating. Visitation is Wednesday 6-8 P.M. at Little’s Funeral Home, Littlestown. Memorials in Roger’s name may be sent to American Cancer Society – P.O. Box 897, Hershey, PA 17033.
