Biography:
Jayne Louise Shoemaker, 69, of Littlestown, passed from this earth and began her journey to Heaven on Friday, May 6, 2016. Born April 14, 1947 in Clearfield, she was predeceased by her parents, Reece & Rebecca (Stodart) Swatsworth. Jayne is survived by her loving husband, Wayne R. Shoemaker. She was a 1965 Gettysburg High School graduate and a homemaker.
Jayne is also survived by her daughters: Kimberly Ann Smith & husband, Jim; Kristi Jo Golden & husband, Alan; Step daughter, Kathy Weddington; Step Son Rusty Prather & wife, Ann; Grandchildren: Jimmy, Cori, Shawnacey, Jeremy and Kiersten; 7 great grandchildren: Makenzie, Haylie, Madison, Logan, Preston, Wyatt & Declan; her sister, Jody Shoemaker & husband, Bill; her brother Jeffrey Swatsworth & wife, Lori, many sister and brother-in-laws, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Jayne was always and forever a great loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Her love, heart and compassion for family and those around her was larger than life. She was everyone’s friend, mother, big sister and confidant. There was never a time Jayne wasn’t open to provide support and a helping hand in whatever way she could. Jayne will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Memorial Service is Sunday, May 22, at 3 P.M. at Gettysburg Baptist Church (GBC), Fairview Rd., Gettysburg with The Rev. Bill Mummert officiating.
