Biography:

Mildred Louisa (Bollinger) Wallick, 95, of Littlestown, passed away on Monday, May 25, at Homewood at Plum Creek, Hanover.  She was known to many as Millie.  Born February 1, 1920 in Harney, MD, she was the eldest daughter of Allen & Emma (Stonesifer) Bollinger.  She married Dennis Wallick in 1940 and spent the majority of her life in Littlestown and the past few years at Homewood.
 
Surviving are her husband, Dennis Wallick of Homewood; 2 daughters: Phyllis Forsythe & husband, John of Glenville; Betty Skelton of Leesburg, VA;  6 grandchildren:  Bryan Skelton & wife, Gabrielle; Jeffrey Skelton & wife, Sarah; Robert Skelton; Kristina Erwin & husband, Jeremy; John Forsythe, Jr. & wife, Angela and Shelly Burns; 11 great grandchildren:  Cara, Krista, Sydney, Thomas & Joseph Skelton, Victoria & Phillip Skelton, Trey & Hannah Forsythe, Sam & Carly Burns and step great granddaughter, Erin Quigley;  6 brothers:  Ivan Bollinger of Gettysburg; Roy Bollinger of Chambersburg; Paul Bollinger of Baltimore, MD; Joe Bollinger of Rowland, NC; Allen Bollinger of Palos Hills, IL; Arvin Bollinger of Taneytown, MD; 2 sisters:  Lucy Eyler of Scottsboro, AL and Gladys Bell of Taneytown.  Millie was predeceased by her brothers:  Harold & William Bollinger and her sister, Doris Rock.
 
Millie was a Emmitsburg, MD High School graduate and a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Littlestown including the women’s group.  She was an assistant Girl Scout leader for her daughters; both Alpha Fire Co and VFW Ladies Aux  of which she was life members.  She was retired from Carroll Shoe Co since 1965.  She helped to manufacture rain coats during WWII and later shoes and boots.  She was also employed with Byer’s Canning Factory, Littlestown.  Millie was always very conscientious of her family which were very important to her.  She would help out friends and neighbors whenever she could.  She supported her husband during his endeavors of public service to Littlestown.
 
Viewings are Thurs 6 – 8 P.M. at Little’s Funeral Home, Littlestown and Friday 10 –11 A.M. at St. John’s.  Celebration of Millie’s Life is Friday 11 A.M. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Littlestown with The Rev. John Largen officiating.  Interment is in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Littlestown. Memorials in Millie’s name may be made to Alpha Fire Co, 40 E. King St., Littlestown, PA  17340 or her church at 655 St. John’s Rd., Littlestown or VNA Hospice, 440 N. Madison St., Hanover, PA  17331.  Online Condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.com

To Denny, Betty and Phyllis and families,
I send my deepest sympathy to you all in the passing of Milly. She was a grand and gentle lady who was adorn by many. May the Lord Bless you all and may she RIP.
