Biography:

Karl E. Gass, 81, formerly of Littlestown, died Saturday, March 21, at The Brethren Home, New Oxford. He was the husband of Dorothy I (Gerrick) Gass who died June 8, 2006. Born August 10, 1933 in Newton, NJ, he was the son of the late Edward K. and Elsie M. (Beamer) Gass. Karl was a 1951 graduate of Newton High School  and attended Rutgers University and a Bible College in SC. He was a farmer and retired from Snyder’s of Hanover in 2007 after 22 years of service.
 
Karl is survived by a daughter, Lori E. Feeser and husband Steve of Thurmont and a sister Barbara Decker of Winston Salem, NC. He was predeceased by sons Paul and Edward Gass and a brother Roger Gass. Karl was a member of Living Faith Evangelical Church of Littlestown where he taught Sunday school. In his early years, Karl attended Christ U.C.C. in Littlestown and loved helping with church activities wherever he attended. Karl loved to fish and help with the Boy Scouts in Littlestown and loved being with his family. He was a God loving man.
 
Funeral Service is Wednesday, March 25, at 11 A.M. at Living Faith Evangelical Church, Littlestown with his pastor, The Rev. Larry Douthwaite officiating. There will be a viewing 1 hour before the service at the church. Interment will be in Christ Church Cemetery, Littlestown. Contributions have been asked to go to his church at 1490 Frederick Pike, Littlestown, PA 17340. Online condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.com

Uncle Karl (on my wife's side) was a very gentle, kind and joyful man. He will be missed by my family and my mother-in-law - his sister.
