Biography:

Howard E. Basehoar, Jr., 59, of Littlestown, died Sun., Feb 15, at his home.  He was the husband of Janet L. (Kuhn) Basehoar for 9 years.  Born Oct 23, 1955 in Gettysburg, Howard was the son of the late H. Earl, Sr. & Doris Mae (Bringman) Basehoar.  He was a 1973 Littlestown High School graduate and had been employed with Hanover Shoe Co for 10 yrs. and was currently working for Gerald Daniel Worldwide of Hanover for 29 years. 
 
In addition to his wife, Howard is survived by a son, Christopher W. Basehoar & wife, Andrea, of Abbottstown and a granddaughter, Aubrey N. Basehoar. Howard was predeceased by a brother, Edward Basehoar.
 
He attended St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Littlestown and umpired American Legion, High School, state, sectional and regional Little League Baseball.  Howard had umpired baseball games for the children of Cal Ripken, Jr., Jamie Moyer and Chris Hoiles.
 
Memorial Service is Thurs., Feb 19, at 3 P.M. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Littlestown with The Rev. Alex Martini officiating.  Inurnment is in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Littlestown.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Howard’s name may be sent to Grane Hospice Care, Inc., 105 Gamma Dr., Pittsburgh, PA  15238.  Online condolences may be shared on www.littlesfh.com
